Well respected Independent family brewery based in Watou and Boezinge in West Flanders, Belgium. The brewery's history dates back to 1674 when the Van Eecke family began brewing for the Count of Watou. It survived the French Revolution in 1795, although the castle itself was pillaged and razed to the ground. In 1962 the Van Eecke brewery was passed to the Leroy Family and in 2016 it was finally renamed Leroy Brewery. Best known for Hommelbier, a popular hoppy beer in the region.
