Collection: BROUWERIJ BOSTEELS

Well respected family brewery based in Buggenhout, Belgium. The Bosteels family have a long history in the town going back centuries, with numerous members of the family being town mayor at various points. The brewery dates from 1791, and operated as a major soft drinks distributor during much of the 20th Century before Ivo Bosteels resurrected a long lost beer recipe for Kwak in 1980 (not to mention the glass and story to go with it), which became a huge success for the company, and Tripel Karmeliet (a recipe originally belonging to the Carmelite nuns Convent) following in 1996.

The brewery sold out to AB-Inbev in 2016, though the recipes for the time being appear to remain untouched.
